Introducing RapidWeaver 8Īfter more than a year in development, RapidWeaver 8 is now ready for prime time.
The app is so packed with all the features you’ll need to build an amazing website that I’m not going to list them all here, but there are themes, third-party add-ons and other building blocks for those who can’t write HTML code, built-in FPT client and media browser, automatic handling of navigation and linking, live preview (watch your website update automatically as you make changes), offline support and much more.Īnd by far, the very best feature- RealMac has been consistently updating and supporting RapidWeaver for the last 14 years, and shows no signs of stopping. What sets RapidWeaver apart from many similar apps out there, including iWeb and the big name apps from the likes of Adobe, is a friendly interface, ease of use and underneath it all a powerful engine, extensibility and a robust set of advanced features. iWeb was an excellent app for beginners, but it didn’t go beyond very basic websites. I no longer build websites, but were I to put up a personal website or a blog, this fine piece of productivity software would be at the top of my list.Īt that time, the Mac-as-a-digital-hub was a thing so Apple’s iWork productivity suite included iWeb, their take on template-based website creation. RapidWeaver: a quick introīack in the iPod days when I ran a marketing agency, I used to rely on RapidWeaver to quickly build attractive websites for clients.
RapidWeaver is among the longest-standing Mac apps out there. Realmac Software, a Brighton, England-based makers of productivity Mac software, Tuesday announced availability of RapidWeaver 8, a major iteration to the popular web design app.
